In the 1990 we, myself Neville and my wife Lydia Burr-Dixon started to seriously collect antiques and vintage goods What started of slow soon became a passion. When we saw a article we bought and soon the house filled up. Lydia said to me.... Enough... But we just kept on collecting.
The stoep area, 6x6 meters, became a storage unit And still is! We collected cars, tins, old wooden boxes, butter churns, pocket watches, tills and the list is just endless. Lydia had a soft spot for doll's and antique cutlery and myself furniture and oil related stuff.
Four year's ago we decided to start flee markets. What started of slowly became our passion, we could and did supply collectors in South Africa with magic units at reasonable prices. We still do and you can find us with smalls at Uncle Tim's bootsale the first Sunday, Uncle Tim's Antique Fair on the second Sunday, the third Sunday the Piston Car fair at Modderfontein and the fourth Sunday at Rosebank Mall antique bootsale.
Over and above the already mentioned we also do Melrose market, Broodblik and Diamonds and Gold in Heidelberg. However we buy and collect more than we sell at the markets... Especially bigger units and furniture.
Important to note that in the house we have units that are so special it cannot be packed in a box and carted around. With the website we can offer these units to you via the system. And that is exactly what we are about to do.
A Welsh Dresser that's way over 100 year's old, various items from The Boer War, scales, cuckoo clocks, pocket watches tins like Main Line Tobacco and Trekker Gemengde koffie, lambs and Railway and mine related lamps, pottery, paintings, second and world War one items ect ect ect!! All of this is great but we live in our own home, 11 years now, and are trustworthy and genuine dealers in the antique and vintage market.
